Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy, Episode 3

Last Time: The premise of the season was set up! It's not shaping up too well, to be honest.

On some planet, Sting Wingers are guarding giant boxes that seem to contain giant animals. Meanwhile, Leo and Maya are watering some plants. Maya can somehow hear the cries of the giant beasts, as she is more in tune with nature or something of that sort. Credits!

Damon shows up to find out what's going on, and Maya explains that she's sure she heard the animals calling out to her. Leo decides that they should check it out on the Megaship, but Damon doesn't want to, as the navigation system is down. Maya is sure she can navigate a spaceship by her nature senses, though. And well, men in general have a hard time arguing with a hot chicks who wear skimpy outfits. Kai and Kendrix, however, aren't too keen on the idea, but Leo decides to hang up on them and take off regardless. Leo's kind of a dick. Maya finds the planet with the beasts, and Leo decides to head down immediately before finding out any information whatsoever. At least he's consistent.

The three Rangers come upon the Sting Wingers trying to keep the beast docile. Maya decides to distract the guards, and I can't argue with that. Damon kind of wants to put together a plan, but given his company, there's no way that's going to happen. The monster of the week is leading the Sting Wings, and immediately chases after Maya when she shows up to distract him. This leaves the beasts completely unguarded, and Damon and Leo move in. Another monster with some sort of Southern accent named Restar moves in and attacks the Rangers, and the new morphing catchphrase is revealed, "Go Galactic!" That's pretty bad, especially since the whole "galaxy" thing has thus far been confined to the name of the show. Kendrix and Kai also show up, but I'm not quite sure how. They fight some Sting Wingers.

The Rangers start cutting the chains on the giant cages, and the doors slowly swing open. The Galactabeasts trot out and Restar decides to retreat. Damon is concerned that the giant creatures will eat him. Maya, however, can talk to the animals and explains that the animals are now in the Rangers' debts. The Galactabeasts sod off.

On Scorpius' command carrier, the boss himself orders Furio to get the damn Quasar Sabers. Trakeena looks on. For some reason, this plan involves flying the entire ship to Terra Venture, which causes panic on the colony. Furio and Restar show up and start wreaking havoc. The Terra Venture military, not being old hands at this like the Angel Grove Police Department, decide to actually try and do something productive by challenging the monsters. It does not go well. Meanwhile, the Rangers are still flying back to Terra Venture.

They eventually show up and Furio leaves Restar to deal with the Rangers by himself. The team decides to fight him in Japanese footage land, where Maya goes from a D-cup to an A-cup instantly. Leo shows of the ability to shoot fire out of his hands and then slices up Restar with his sword. Restar drinks some sort of green potion to make him giant-sized. Leo decides to charge the giant monster, and is predictably swatted away. The Galactabeasts show up and blast Restar. The Galactabeasts, through Maya, explain the whole zord thing. The Megazord will have to wait another day, though, as Leo and his lion zord take out the monster themselves, causing a massive explosion that is probably not exactly the best thing for an enclosed dome in space.

Later, Scorpius and Furio talk about killing the Rangers, and Trakeena is there to look pretty. Elsewhere, Damon hustles Leo with a card trick and Maya talks about seeing her home again. Er...it was turned to stone, you probably should deal with that first. Leo catches onto Damon's trickery, and finds the car hidden in the mechanic's pocket. Bonhomie erupts! Show Over!

Next Time: Leo gets a job! And sucks at it!
