Oh wait, it was just a simulation. Damn it. Meanwhile, Ryan has decided to investigate the tomb from last episode. Credits!

The other Rangers receive Ryan's message, but can't quite get the critical information about Diabolico before the signal breaks up. And then the monster of the week, Freezer shows up. They hold him off until Olympius shows up and decides to kill the Rangers personally. Ms. Fairweather tries to give the Rangers the new Thermo Blasters, but gets frozen by the monster instead. Freezer then captures the other four Rangers, and implores Carter, the last man standing, to "get in my belly." Remember, this was 2000, and Michael Myers hadn't yet retroactively destroyed the Austin Powers franchise with The Love Guru yet.

Olympius decides to kill Carter, but is interrupted by Vypra and Loki, who are still rather pissed about him betraying them last episode. They re-introduce Diabolico, who wants his position and powers back from Olympius. They fight, and Carter decides to take this opportunity to retrieve the frozen Ms. Fairweather and retreat. Eventually, Bansheera calls them both back to the ziggurat o' baditude, and seeks to resolve this leadership crisis. She sends Olympius out to kill Carter.

Olympius, not being particularly subtle, decides to call the aquabase and threaten to kill the other Rangers unless Carter fights him. Carter agrees and takes the Thermo Blasters with him. At the agreed meeting spot, Olympius beats Carter up and makes the classic villain mistake of choosing to make him suffer instead of killing him outright. He sends in Freezer to kill Carter, but it doesn't work. Carter and Freezer engage in a long standoff that frees the other Rangers and leaves Carter completely frozen, for about two seconds until he thaws himself. The Rangers use their new Thermo Blasters to kill Freezer, and Jinxer makes the monster grow to giant-size.

Olympius summons a thunderstorm that prevents the Rangers from using the Lightspeed Solarzord, so they call the Omega Megazord instead and kill the monster with that. Huzzah.

Later, Diabolico mocks Olympius for his failure and storms off, vowing revenge. In the aquabase, Ms. Fairweather is still thawing out and Dana is worried about Ryan. Ryan? Oh, right, the Titanium Ranger. Meh. At the ancient ruins, Ryan is transcribing some mystical runes. Excitement! Show Over!
