Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy, Episode 32
Original Airdate: 11-8-1999
Last Episode: Kendrix used her science skills to teach the Rangers the meaning of the phrase "Momento Mori!"
Kendrix's Quasar Saber lands on some alien planet, and its new owner sees the opportunity for profit. Meanwhile, on Terra Venture, Maya is receiving a visit from GhostKendrix, who tells her to find her Quasar Saber, and also that Maya shall be Thane of Cawdor and Glamis. Maya is concerned that her dead best friend is talking to her, but Kendrix assures her that she's in "a wonderful place." Is it Montreal? I've heard good things about Montreal. Maya wakes up and it was all a dream.
Maya, however, summons the rest of the Rangers and makes them help her look for the Quasar Saber. On the command carrier, Trakeena dispathes Deviot to look for it, too. Vilemax also goes searching for it. Credits! Kendrix is still in the opening title sequence...but not for much longer.
On the alien planet, the Rangers arrive, and distract some aliens with Kai's bird calls. The guy who found the Quasar Saber explains that he already sold it and demands something for information on his whereabouts. The Rangers are in no mood for such games and threaten him with bodily harm. The alien directs them to some other alien planet whose name I refuse to write down. And it doesn't matter anyway, because the alien was Deviot in disguise and he just gave the Rangers the run around. Deviot then interrogates the real alien and learns that the Quasar Saber is on Onyx...you know, that planet with the evil saloon.
On Onyx, an evil auction is taking place. The auctioneer brings out the Pink Quasar Saber and puts it out for bids. Some Piranhatrons are also there, and it's nice to see them finding steady work. The bidding is fierce until Astronema shows up and wins the auction by threatening to kill everyone else in the room. She's about to get away with it when Trakeena shows up and proves to be the only won who remembers that Astronema, or rather Karone, isn't evil anymore. Karone still manages to escape the saloon, though. Fortunately, Deviot has managed to lead the Rangers into a trap on another planet.
On said planet, the trap works perfectly, and the Rangers manage to run right into a bomb. Deviot shows up to taunt them, but is interrupted by Karone, who is still dressed in tight leather. I approve. The Rangers all recognize Karone....somehow, and Karone explains that she's still trying to find redemption or whatever. Trakeena teleports in to block their escape. Karone picks up the Pink Quasar Saber and starts unsuccessfully fighting Trakeena, which ends with Trakeena knocking her off of a cliff. Karone manages to hang onto some rocks, but has lost the Quasar Saber. Also, the other Rangers are still losing.
Karone falls off of the rocks, but is saved by GhostKendrix, who tells her to become the Pink Ranger and stop sucking. Karone now has a morpher and steals the Quasar Saber back from Trakeena. She morphs and they all fight until Vilemax realizes that they can totally use this time to destroy Terra Venture. Unfortunately, the monster they leave behind as a stall tactic proves not to be up to the task and folds after one hit from the Lights of Orion.
There's also a giant monster fight on Terra Venture. The Rangers decide to let Kendrix summon the zords and she comes up with, "Galactabeasts, over here!" while waving her arms. I think the Rangers have to review their hiring policies. She eventually gets it right, and the monster, which appeared to be half-tank, gets killed.
Later, Karone inherits Kendrix's half of the Galactic Apartment and she and Maya talk about Kendrix. Then everyone has a celebratory dinner, because it's been a whole episode, and so the mourning period for Kendrix is completed. Show Over!
