Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy, Episode 24

Last Time: Maya and Kendrix had a fight, and it was exactly as interesting as last time!

Commander Stanton is briefing some of Terra Venture's high elders on an incoming asteroid field. They walk by Damon, who helpfully returns a piece of paper that they had dropped. He is accosted by the high elders' guard, but manages to return the paper, albeit with a smudge of grease, because he is a mechanic, and thus constantly covered in such substances. Credits!

The command carrier gets struck by meteorites and breaks down. Also, some more meteorites are headed for the ship, so they need to fix the broken engines quickly. However, they don't have any mechanics on board, so are boned. Fortunately, Deviot has a plan!

Phase one of the plan involves kidnapping one of the high elders of Terra Venture, but runs into a snag when Damon shows up to foil the Sting Wingers entrusted to capture the high elder. Fortunately for the villains, Deviot also sent a monster, and so they're able to capture one of the elders, whose name is apparently Renier.

Later, Damon is feeling guilty about letting Renier get captured, and is determined to find her. On the bridge, Commander Stanton is trying to figure out what to do when Trakeena calls in. She wants to exchange Renier's safety for a mechanic to fix her ship. She probably could have just kidnapped a mechanic in the first place, of course. Renier urges them not to make the bargain, but one of the other high elders insists. Seeing as Trakeena has made it her mission to kill everyone on Terra Venture, presumably including Renier, it would be ridiculously stupid to agree to such an exchange. Damon, of course, volunteers for the mission.

Mike and Leo fly Damon over to the command carrier, and Damon is surprised to see Leo there, what with him not actually being part of Terra Venture's military, as well as generally being a pain in the ass. Damon gets escorted to the bridge, and Trakeena is less than thrilled to find out her mechanic is the Green Ranger. He eventually reaches the engine room and utters the line "I'm a mechanic, not a doctor!" Oh, I see what you did there....real fucking clever. Also, Leo has snuck aboard the ship.

There's a montage of Damon fixing the engines, and Leo finally makes his move. He takes out some Sting Wingers and rescues Renier when Damon is able to remotely open her cell door. Damon also manages to successfully fix the command carrier's engines, but the villains renege on their agreement to let him go. A meteorite hits, however, and Damon escapes in the confusion. Damon meets up with Leo and Renier and manages to get past the monster from earlier with the help of some sort of tube that sprays a seemingly endless amount of steam.

Trakeena decides to send the monster to Terra Venture because...why not. The fight happens and Damon manages to get a moment in the spotlight. Then it's time for the Lights of Orion, and, this week, the lights apparently teleport the Rangers from outside a warehouse to a rural gravel road. Continuity Errors, Ahoy! The monster gets killed, and then killed again at giant-size. We do, however, see the Stratoforce formation footage for the first time.

Later, Damon and Leo get medals from Renier...and then Renier high-fives Damon in one of the weirdest sequences I have ever seen. It's hard to describe in words, really. Show Over!
